Attempts to plot Uranus' orbit failed until it was realized that an unknown planet must be pulling it out of its path. Independent calculations by Leverrier and J. C. Adams pointed to this planet's location and, in 1846, after less than one hour of searching, the new planet was found by J. Galle.

Not much is known about Neptune. It has 17.3 times more mass than earth and is 30 times as far from the sun. It has 2 moons, the 2nd not discovered until 1949.
