Isaac Newton Finds Gravity

About the history of Isaac Newton, how he discovered the principles of gravity and physics.

1684 ISAAC NEWTON FINDS GRAVITY

It was on the family farm in England that Newton saw the famous apple fall, but actually he had been working on theories about gravity earlier. He was a genius who also determined properties of light, invented the reflecting telescope, developed fundamental laws of motion, created the calculus. After publishing his theory of gravity, he did little scientific work. Instead, he went into politics and was appointed director of the mint.
