BARON MANFRED VON RICHTHOFEN, German aviator, 1892-1918

Where Buried: Village Cemetery, Bertangles, France (1918); German Military Cemetery, Fricourt, France (1918-1925).

Gravestone: Large rectangular block chipped and pockmarked by bullets, inscribed only with family name in large plain letters.

Amen: Reburied 1925 in family plot, Invaliden Cemetery, East Berlin, Germany. Located only 5 ft. from the Berlin Wall, the grave is presently inaccessible.
