Famous Last Will and Testament Sex Researcher Alfred Kinsey

About the last will and testament of famous American sex researcher Alfred C. Kinsey.

ALFRED CHARLES KINSEY, U.S. biologist, died 1956

Last Will: Bitterness over his treatment by the scientific community during his pioneer research in human sexuality-a resistance motivated, he believed, by sexual hang-ups of the individuals concerned-dominated the tone of Kinsey's last "statement." Written two weeks before his death, it was not so much a will as a review and description of goals and obstacles: "From the beginning of our own research there have been many persons who have gone out of their way to try and prevent our securing histories from particular groups... the most important thing for us to establish right now is the right of the scientist to engage in such research."
