Playwright and fiction writer. Follower of Swami Prabhavananda, Isherwood translated the Bhagavad-Gita and other Hindu writings from Sanskrit.

From: Anglicanism.

To: Hinduism.

Why: Isherwood rejected the Anglicanism of his birth and in W.W. II became a pacifist and served alternative service with the Quakers. Influenced by Aldous Huxley, he became a convert to the Hindu philosophy of the Vedanta Society.
