Psychic Predictions of Irene Hughes Past

About the psychic predictions both right and wrong from Irene Hughes, biography and future predictions including ones on astronauts, Ted Kennedy, and Castro.

One of 12 children, Irene Hughes was born and raised in Tennessee. An imaginative little girl, she claimed she was visited by a blond fairy queen. At 15 she became a Baptist. Her predictions are made through a spirit teacher, Kaygee, once an Oriental Christian. Hughes not only runs the Golden Path, a school for psychic and spiritual development, but also writes books and a newspaper column, appears on radio and television, and gives lectures. She claims 80% accuracy for her 1968-1972 predictions.

Past Predictions: Wrong--In July, 1976, the National Enquirer reported some of Hughes's predictions for the second half of that year. According to that publication, she said, "Prince Charles of England will be lost at sea when his ship sinks in a storm, but will be found alive several days later." Hughes was wrong.

* Also included for 1976: "Fidel Castro will be ousted as Cuba's premier after it's discovered he has funneled huge amounts of money into a Swiss bank account." Hughes was wrong.

Right--She predicted the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy. Hughes was right.

* She foresaw the deaths of three astronauts. In 1967 three men died in a ground fire in an Apollo capsule. Hughes was right.

* She saw Ted Kennedy involved in an automobile accident, on or near water, in which his companion would die. A little over a month later, on July 18, 1969, Ted Kennedy drove his car off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island, and Mary Jo Kopechne, his passenger, was killed. Hughes was right.

* She predicted Howard Hughes's death in 1976. She was right.
